I know I'm cheating, but I don't get along with kneading the dough at all! I put the flour, sugar, milk, butter and vanilla in the kneading machine. I let the machine knead the dough well. If you want to knead by hand, you will put the flour in a bowl, and in the middle you make a nest that you will fill with sugar, milk, diced butter and vanilla. Start kneading until you get an elastic, slightly sticky dough. Add more flour if needed, but not too much. Divide the dough in half. We spread the first rectangular sheet.

Separately, melt the chocolate together with the oil. Let the chocolate cool. If you need help with how to melt chocolate, you can find directions here.

Spread half of the chocolate on the first sheet. We bring one end of the sheet to half, then we bring the other one a little over the first one. We cut the dough into fringes with a sharp knife. We will twist each cut piece, then we will wrap it. Hard to explain, look at the pictures better ha!

We will prepare the syrup now: put all the ingredients on the fire and mix until the sugar has melted and all the ingredients have been homogenized. Let the sauce cool. The result will be a transparent and slightly thick sauce, like a syrup.

We put the rolls on a tray lined with baking paper and sprinkle them with the sweet sauce. We leave them in the oven for approx. 20 minutes on medium heat. Do not bake too long, they will be hard after. Don't be scared if a little chocolate flows through the tray, don't run out! Leave to cool, then serve without delay!

Wafer rolls with chocolate cream and nuts

Wafer rolls with chocolate cream and nuts, such a pompous and long title, for an extremely simple dessert to make, but with great effect. Some mini rolls or mini wafer rolls, which the smaller they are, the nicer they are. I am convinced that if you make them for the Christmas meal or why not, for the New Year, they will impress both in shape and taste.

What I like most is that it is a dessert that does not require baking, although an oven lit in such cold weather as today is more than welcome. It is true that it requires a little attention to soften the wafer sheets, but if you skip this step, the rest goes super fast.

There is also the video version of this recipe, so do not hesitate to see it in case you are unsure of any particular aspect. And if that doesn't bother you either, don't hesitate to ask and let's see together what and how.

On a plate with other festive cakes, I say that these wafer rolls with chocolate cream and nuts are very effective. If you like uncooked sweets, made especially with wafers, I leave below some recommendations. Just click on the image and you will get the desired recipe.

Ingredients for 60 rolls:

  • 2 teaspoons milk, 2 egg yolks
  • 1 can of caramelized condensed milk
  • 250 gr butter at room temperature, 100 gr chocolate

How to prepare chocolate rolls soaked in chocolate?

Sift wheat flour into a bowl. Add powdered sugar, margarine, honey, egg yolks and milk. Mix well until you get a smooth dough. Cover the dough with cling film and set aside for about 60 minutes.

Then transfer the dough on the work surface sprinkled with flour and spread it in a thin sheet from which we cut small rectangles. Roll the pieces of dough and place them on a tray lined with baking paper.

Put the tray in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 6 minutes. After the rolls are baked, take them out of the oven and let them cool a bit.

Meanwhile, prepare the cream. Beat the butter with the mixer, then add the caramelized condensed milk. Mix well and fill all the rolls with the cream obtained.

Finally, melt the chocolate in the microwave. We soak the ends of the rolls in melted chocolate. We place them nicely on a plate, let them cool completely, after which we can serve them with our loved ones. Good appetite and increase cooking!
