Spanish style chicken paella

Spanish style chicken paella ingredients:

  • 8 chicken wings-650 g
  • 125 g long grain rice
  • 2 capsicums-240 g
  • 1 onion - 125 g
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 tomato-185 g
  • 80 g peas
  • 80 g yellow beans (or 50 grams of red or white beans)
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • half a sachet of pure saffron (0.6 g)
  • 1 lemon
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • parsley.

Spanish style chicken paella preparation:

We wash the wings under a stream of cold water and cut them in half.Season with salt, pepper, paprika and 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic.In a frying pan, fry the meat over low heat with 2 tablespoons of olive oil for about 20 minutes.Meanwhile, cut the peppers, diced onions and diced tomatoes.

In the paella pan, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil and sauté the onion for 3 minutes. Add the peppers and leave for about 7 minutes until they become soft.When the chicken is ready, place it in the paella pan next to the onion and pepper.Then add the yellow beans, peas, diced tomatoes, water (550 ml) and cook for 3 minutes, then add the rice.After 2 minutes, add the saffron, the 2 cloves of garlic, salt and a little pepper and let it boil over low heat until the water drops. The rice should not be boiled like pilaf - it should remain whole.Cut the lemon into pieces and put it in the paella.

Wash the parsley, cut it into small pieces and sprinkle it over the paella.

My dears, I just came back from a little vacation in Spain and I kept trying all kinds of Paella, with chicken, seafood, pork and you wonder. Today it's my turn to make my own version according to my taste, so I prepared a light and healthy food, a paella with shrimp and chorizo ​​that is easy and fast and has a great taste.
At the base of Paella is a Spanish dish based on rice and seafood with the addition of chorizo ​​which is a spicy Spanish sausage. Very popular in the country of origin as well as in the countries of North Africa, you can find it in almost any restaurant. Paella is cooked in many variants with different types of meat and with different vegetable additions. Whatever the recipe, Paella is a consistent, fast, healthy and extremely tasty food.

Ingredients

  • 150 g onion
  • 100 g red bell peppers
  • 20 g garlic
  • 150 g shrimp
  • 100 g chorizo
  • 250 g of rice
  • 100 g green peas
  • 700 ml vegetable soup
  • 1 tablespoon paella spices (paprika salt
  • 40 ml of olive oil

Step by step method

Peel the onion, garlic and finely chop them, put them to harden in olive oil. After the onion has softened, add the rice and heat until we feel that the rice grains are like pebbles.

Put the green peas, diced bell peppers and chorizo ​​cut into 3-4 mm slices. We continue to harden for another 2-3 minutes.

Add the spices, hot vegetable soup, taste with salt, if necessary and let it simmer until it absorbs almost all the liquid.

Put shrimp in the pan and let it boil for a few more minutes. Mix with a large fork, rarely and carefully so as not to crush the ingredients. After all the liquid has been absorbed, we turn off the heat and let it rest for a few minutes and the tastes combine.


Chicken with Spanish-style spicy vegetables

ingredients: a chicken of about 1.5 kilograms, a lemon (cut in half), 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary, 2 pieces of finely chopped leeks, 2 red bell peppers, 1 yellow pepper, 1 green pepper, 100 grams of black olives pitted, 60 milliliters of oil, sea salt, freshly ground pepper.

Method of preparation:

The oven is heated to 200 ° C.

The whole chicken - cleaned of the intestines and other organs - is placed in a tray and filled with lemon halves and two rosemary threads.

The leeks are cut into pieces, the peppers are cut into strips, they are placed in the baking tray, together with the olives, around the chicken. Sprinkle everything with oil, add the rest of the rosemary, salt, pepper. Mix the vegetables with a spoon to cover them with oil.

Put the tray in the oven for an hour - an hour and a quarter, until the chicken is cooked.

Remove the tray from the oven, place the chicken on a chopping board, let the meat rest for 10 minutes and then cut into pieces. Serve on a platter, along with vegetables and sauce from the pan.
