If you have dried chickpeas, leave it to soak for about 24 hours with 2-3 basil leaves and there is no need to boil it, or leave it only one night and boil it for about 30 minutes.

If it's canned, drain the juice and put the chickpeas in a bowl with napkins, so that they dry a little. Heat the oil and put the chickpeas in a single layer. From time to time, shake the pan a little, to return the grains. Leave until golden brown, in which case they will have a crust and the inside will be soft, or until they become slightly brown and crispy.

At this amount, about 3-4 pans come out.

Put it in the bowl, add the spices and mix with a spoon. I go great to a movie night with friends.

  • 250 g chickpeas (soaked for 24 hours in water)
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • a large bunch of parsley
  • 3-4 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon grated coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon grated cumin (cumin, NOT cumin)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil for frying

Crispy chickpea recipe it is the perfect snack for me. Sometimes, especially in the evening, I feel the need to nibble on something, especially if I watch a movie with my husband. Instead of opening a bag of chips, which I don't have at home anyway, or making popcorn, I prefer to make this crispy, healthy chickpea, with little fat and full of flavors. I don't think I think I have to tell you that I love chickpeas, I like them hummus, added in various preparations, made falafel or simply boiled and sprinkled with salt, a little olive oil and a little cumin.

Chickpeas are very healthy, they are a vegetable source of protein, they are very hungry and they are absolutely delicious. And because I didn't feel like softening chickpeas overnight and boiling them the next day, I turned to canned chickpeas from Sun Food. It's the brand of cans they use most often, and their chickpeas are great. Very good quality and 100% natural. Moreover, the liquid in the can called aquafaba can be stored and used as a substitute for egg white.

It is very nutritious and is great for people who have allergies to eggs. The recipe is simple and can be made by a child, I say this without exaggerating. The most important thing is to drain and rinse the chickpeas well, then dry it thoroughly, in order to become crispy in the oven. Another very important thing is not to crowd the tray, the chickpeas should be placed in a single layer and if possible, it would be good to use a tray with short walls.

This will allow the chickpeas to brown nicely and become crispy and delicious. Do not be afraid of spices, you can put any spice you want, it is important that you like it. You can serve these crispy chickpeas as a snack or you can add it to salads or soups as croutons! It's amazing!

2. Falafel la lipie

Falafel sticks are full of spicy spices, vegetables and lots of tahini!
